FB feat. Edun
FB stands for the two people that remixed the 'Who's Knockin'?' track. The 'F' is for Ferry (Corsten) and the 'B' stands for Benny (Benassi).
In 2005, after being in the music business for over 15 years, Dutch DJ / producer Ferry Corsten decided to found 'Flashover Recordings' to release new, fresh and innovating dance productions. The very first release on this label was on October 24 2005. 'Flash001' became the track 'Who's Knockin'?' by 'FB featuring Edun'. This one of project is a collaboration between Italian DJ / producer Benny Benassi (real name: Marco Benassi) and Ferry Corsten.
For the vinyl release both of them, Benny and Ferry, made their own remix. The vocals on the track are performed by 'Edun', which is the artist name of Alice Edun. She was born in Saint Petersburg (Russia) to a Nigerian father and Russian mother. At the age of five she moved with her family to Africa where she began to build her Gospel background in school and baptist church choirs. When she moved to Italy she continued to sing Gospel music from 1998 onwards and took part in the Milan Gospel Festival. While all this was happening, she was also experimenting with R&B, soul, funk and jazz styles and performing regularly inside and outside of Italy. Her first big success was the track 'Who's Knockin'?', which she performed the vocals on. Read more on Last.fm.
