Γενιά Του Χάους
Γενιά Του Χάους (Genia Tu Haus, translation: Generation Of Chaos) is probably the most influential Greek punk band of the 1980s.
The lyrics and the music were of punk rock origin, with gothic, pessimistic attitude and clear heavy metal elements. Their line up changed multiple times. Τhey started in easter of 1982 under the moniker Αντι-κουλτούρα (Anti-Kultura, translation: Anticulture), the name changed to Chaos Generation and finally in 1984 they became Γενιά Του Χάους.
In 1983, Nikos Vosdoganis leaves the band & Aris Labridis together with Kostas Hadjopoulos join the band as vocalist & guitarist respectively. The second Nikos Vosdoganis in the band (a cousin of the first one) also leaves the band in late 1984, after the release of the split tape with Αδιέξοδο
The first self-titled LP Γενιά του Χάους came out in 1986 and the band followed up with their second LP Ρέκβιεμ in 1989, Requiem (Greek: Ρέκβιεμ). Both records were released by Dikaioma Diavasis (DiDi Music).
Shortly after their release the band was dissolved.
In early Januray 2009, Thodoris Iliakopoulos announced through myspace that Γενιά Του Χάους were to reunite just for one live show. In April 2009 a once-time reunion live show took place on the 24th and 25th at [venue]Gagarin 205[/venue].
