メロン記念日
メロン記念日 (Melon Kinenbi) was a Japanese pop group under the Hello! Project (ハロー!プロジェクト) umbrella. Picked from an audition in 1999, they released their first single in February 2000. Their activity slowed in the following years, releasing only a single a year after 2005, but they continued to make appearances and tour the country.
The members, unchanged since their debut, included leader Hitomi Saito (斉藤瞳), sub-leader Megumi Murata (村田めぐみ), Masae Otani (大谷雅恵), and Ayumi Shibata (柴田あゆみ).
Melon Kinenbi graduated from Hello! Project at the Elder Club concert on March 31st, 2009. They announced via their official blog that they would be disbanding following the final date of their tour "MELON'S NOT DEAD", in May 2010. Read more on Last.fm.
