□□□
□□□ (Kuchiroro) was formed in 1998 by Kôshi Miura (三浦康嗣). In 2008 Shige Murata (村田シゲ), a member of Cubismo Grafico Five, joined the group. In July 2009, writer/actor/hip-hop mogul Seikô Itô (いとうせいこう) also joined the band. Their style has evolved from beginnings in breakbeats toward pop through trial and error using various instruments such as turntables and samplers. Their vibrant sound fuses various genres such as HIP-HOP, soul, house, techno, and jazz music and they are now devoting themselves to reaching a broader audience, aiming to attract listeners of all ages but without for that reason compromising the music, drawing a clear line between themselves and the mainstream J-POP scene.
Kuchiroro has released 9 albums, 1 mini album and 3 singles to date. Their most recent album, Japanese Couple, was released in March 2013. Their self-titled first album released on WEATHER/HEADZ in 2004 was well-received and selected as the best Japanese rock album of the year by MUSIC MAGAZINE. In 2006, they moved labels to commmons. Their 4th album, GOLDEN LOVE, released in 2007, was again selected as the best rock album of the year by MUSIC MAGAZINE. In addition to the above mentioned work, they create remixes and collaborate with many other artists popular in Japan including Anna Tsuchiya (土屋アンナ), Aira Mitsuki, and m-flo. Read more on Last.fm.
