増田貴久
増田貴久 (Masuda Takahisa) was born on July 4th, 1986 in Tokyo, Japan. He is a member of the now 4-member idol group NEWS, as well as half of the duo-unit テゴマス. Both of these groups are part of Johnny's & Associates, which he joined in November 1998. Masuda's nickname is Massu. Masuda has been noted to have a "strange but good" voice according to Johnny Kitagawa, who said that it's for this reason that he put him with Tegoshi. In addition, a member of the group 嵐 (Arashi), 大野智 (Ohno Satoshi), who is regarded as having one of the best voices in the company, has mentioned that he thinks Masuda is the best singer.
Before NEWS was formed in 2003, Masuda was a member of Johnny's Jr., and during this time he did have the chance to appear in a few dramas. In 2006, テゴマス would form, and although it was not anticipated, they would become a permanent unit. Masuda's solo projects include a variety of stage plays, commercials, and dramas.
Masuda Takahisa is notorious for liking gyoza, and food in general, which tends to be a big motif in his solo songs, such as Pumpkin and SUPERMAN, both of which are littered with word-play involving various food puns.
