畠山美由紀
Miyuki Hatakeyama (畠山美由紀, born August 18, 1972 in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan) is a singer-songwriter. She began her music career as a vocalist for the bands Double Famous and Port of Notes, and launched her solo career in 2001. She has released 11 albums to date. The most recent, "rain falls", came out in 2013. Several of her songs have been featured in Japanese TV commercials and as theme songs for TV programs. She has also collaborated with numerous artists over the years including Soul Bossa Trio, Yoko Kanno (菅野よう子), FreeTEMPO, Sérgio Mendes, and Shigeharu Sasago (leader of Choro Club).
