皆川おさむ
Osamu Minagawa (皆川おさむ, born January 22, 1963) is a former Japanese child actor and singer.
When Nippon Victor asked Kazuko Minagawa, the leader of a Japanese school choir called "The Larks", to nominate a member to record a Japanese version of the Italian children's song "Volevo un gatto nero" ("I wanted a black cat), she chose her nephew, Osamu Minagawa, whose recording "黒ネコのタンゴ" (Kuroneko no Tango, Black Cat Tango) was released on 5 October 1969.
The song reached number one in the Oricon chart, and sold 3 million copies, making six-year-old Minagawa the youngest artist ever to have a million-selling record.
After his voice change, he specialized in drums and percussion. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
