蔡淳佳
蔡淳佳 (pinyin: Cài Chúnjiā; Joi Chua or Joi Tsai, born August 3, 1978) is a female vocalist based in Singapore.
Joi was educated at Raffles Girls' Primary School, Clementi Town Secondary School, and Singapore Polytechnic in Optometry. She debuted in 1996 in the Extraordinary Singers Course that was organized by Ocean Butterflies Production. In 2004, she moved on to Play Music.
In 2005, she was the ambassador of Singapore's Speak Mandarin Campaign, and held concerts at over 12 different primary and secondary schools to help promote the language. She was commissioned by local broadcasting company MediaCorp to record the theme song of a drama series created to raise awareness of the NKF (National Kidney Foundation). She also performed the Mandarin version of the Singapore Tourism Board’s theme song, "Uniquely You", and appears in the accompanying music video used by the STB for its promotions.
Joi has twice performed at the National Day Parade, in 2005 and 2008, and at the Craze music concert in 2005. In 2006, she also received the Merit Award (Cultural Achievement category) of The Outstanding Young Person Award. Joi was the country's best-selling female vocalist in 2005, and one of her albums was the fourth best-selling album of 2005.
Aside from building her singing career - and being accepted and recognized as a young emerging talent - Joi is also actively involved in community service through her work with children in promoting the use of Mandarin.
