쇼콜라 ("Chocolat" - meaning “Chocolate” in French) was a four member South Korean pop group produced by Paramount Music. The group officially disbanded in 2017. The group's final lineup consisted of Soa (소아), Julianne (쥴리앤), Tia (티아), and Melanie (멜라니). Jaeyoon (제윤) is the group's only former member. Korea’s first bi-racial girl group; three of the members are only half-Korean. The girls debuted with their first digital single, "신드롬 (Syndrome)", on August 17th,2011. Shortly after the release, member Jaeyoon announced that she was leaving the group due to health concerns. The group released their first mini album on December 15, 2011, with the song "I Like It" serving as the lead single. However, no music video was released for the song. The group cameback on February 9, 2012 with the release of their second single album. The song "하루만 더" was the lead single. The group's final single album was released on June 11, 2013, servicing the song "블랙팅커벨" as the lead single. The song became the group's most successful song since their debut. The group then disappeared from the public eye, leaving many to question what the group's status was. It was not until [yeardisbanded]2017[/yeardisbanded] that member Melanie announced the group's disbandment with all of the girls' contracts expiring in February of 2017.
