20 Dead Flower Children
Rising from the ashes of conformity like the mythic phoenix, 20 Dead Flower Children was reborn and the machine was created. Armed with a sound as revolutionary as the 4 different entities that create it, 20 Dead Flower Children make it known that not only has the fuse been lit, the bomb already detonated. Who can argue that fact after experiencing their live show? It’s easy..you can’t.
Formed in 1994 in Detroit with a different vocalist and bass player, Guitarist/programmer Keith Lowers and drummer Jason Garrison were faced with the possibly of dropping a project they worked so hard to create after releasing only one CD. Both, with the power of persistence, pressed on and crossed paths with vocalist/lyricist Dennis Hogan who joined the group. They then wrote and created their second CD entitled “Candy, Toy Guns and Television” and realized that they were on to something very different. 20 Dead Flower Children then took to the road with bands including, but not limited to Sevendust, CoalChamber, Powerman 5000 and The Workhorse Movement (all baby bands at the time). The band endured many hardships along the way, but ferocious live shows somehow got “through” to many accepting fans. The seed was being planted everywhere. In 1998 20 Dead Flower Children relocated to Huntington Beach. It was then they found the missing piece and completed the circle by adding bassist Dirt-E. They then created the “Greet The Machine” EP, a sort of warning call to the masses. Something new and serious is coming. Once again hitting the road with Insane Clown Posse, (hed) PE, and Slipknot, 20 Dead Flower Children continued to earn new fans and friends alike.
Today, Coma 99 has passed and the seeds that were planted are now blooming to what is being called “Thorns Of Scorn”. The fires of confrontation have not only been refined, but have solidified the vision of 20 Dead Flower Children in the new decade. The time has come. No time to mourn. No time to smile with our mouths sewn. If this is the norm... then they want decay. You will see ruin when you say their name...20 Dead Flower Children. Be ready. Read more on Last.fm.
