Adam Arcuragi
It seems fitting that Adam Arcuragi grew up listening to his grandparents collection of old soul and gospel records, because according to NPR, he is 'a Philly soul with the old school power of Van Morrison'.
As an award winning poet and playwright, Adam’s songs spill over with compelling and poignant lyrics that garner continuous praise, or as All Music Guide states: “There is unbridled joy inherent in even the saddest of these songs, and unforgettable images in almost every verse”. Together with a revolving cast of talented musicians - the music erupts into a veritable tent revival of songs that are as infectious as they are timeless.
The past year saw the release of Adam's highly acclaimed album 'Like a fire that consumes all before it...'. Heralded by NPR, Paste, The Washington Post, American Songwriter, The Huffington Post and many others, the album was record live in Lexington Kentucky with producer Duane Lundy. Having recently toured with Frank Turner, Spirit Family Reunion, and several shows with Eric burden of The Animals, Adam is back in the studio, recording a new collection of inspired songs, under the moniker 'SPURS'. The new album will be a collaboration between Adam, David Hartley (The War On Drugs/ Nightlands), and German prodigy Fabian Simon, Inspired by a range of influences from The Chambers Brothers to the Jesus and Mary Chain.
