Alyona Lanskaya
Alyona Lanskaya (Belarusian: Алена Ланская, Romanized: Alena Lanskaya; Russian: Алёна Ланская, Romanized: Alyona Lanskaya; born 9 September 1985 in Mogilev) is a Belarusian singer that will represent her country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. She will perform “Solayoh”, written by by Marc Paelinck and Martin King.
The Belarusian representative, Alyona Lanskaya spent a lot of time on searching her song for Malmö. Last month, the singer recorded some entries in the Abbey Road Studios in London. And yesterday, the closed meeting of members of BTRC and Spamash music centre took place in Minsk where on Alyona’s entry for Malmö has finally been decided. Alyona Lanskaya will perform a Latin pop song Solayoh in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest. The authors of Solayoh are Mark Paelinck from Belgium and Martin King from Great Britain.
The collaboration of Alyona Lanskaya and Mark Paelinck started already 2012. The first successful project was the song Don't Say Sorry which will be included into Alyona Lanskaya’s first English album. Mark is very happy with Alyona’s decision to sing Solayoh. The author is sure that Alyona will successfully perform it on stage in Malmö.
According to the authors, the idea of the song is based on the abstract planet that is called "Solayoh". "Hearty and sincere people live there.
