Archer Avenue
There are two bands by this name, one from Indiana and one from Texas.
A) This is the band that Richard Edwards was in before the days of Margot and the Nuclear So & So's. The band reigns from the Muncie, Indiana area and consisted of Richard Edwards, Ashley White, Dave Adamson and others. The band was together from 2002-2004. The group put out an album on Mariel Records in 2003.
Both band names are related to the movie "The Royal Tenenbaums," oddly enough. If you are a fan of Margot & the Nuclear So and So's, check them out. You can even download the entire "When I was an Astronaut" album from musicalfamilytree.com for FREE! paperkittennightmare.com is the message boards for Margot, but Archer Avenue is discusssed often there also. Information on this band is somewhat difficult to find, and the album is no longer in print. They gained popularity from the local press and more recently from fans of Margot looking for more material from Richard. He is a highly acclaimed songwriter in the Indianapolis area that is now gaining national exposure with Margot and their latest release, "The Dust of Retreat."
B)ARCHER AVENUE is a Texas Rock n' Roll Band that formed in the San Antonio music scene, recording their first EP "Left of the Dial" after only a few days playing together in late 2003. The band has recently generated some buzz after being discovered by Grammy Award Winning Producer Pete Anderson at a showcase in El Paso, TX.
We Watched the Headlights, We Watched the Stars was recorded at the DogBone Studios in Burbank, CA and features Grammy Award Winning Producer Pete Anderson as Executive Producer as well as industry veterans Tony Rambo as Producer/ Engineer and Sally Browder on Editing.
