Aubrey O'Day
Born in San Francisco on 11 February 1984, Aubrey O'Day is an actress and songwriter who rose to fame as a member of the girl group Danity Kane, after being successfully chosen by P. Diddy to be part of the group in 2005. However, on the October 7, 2008 episode of Making the Band, O'Day was declared no longer a member of the group. Confirmation of O'Day's departure was revealed in the show's live episode on October 14, 2008.
According to Songfacts, after leaving the girl group, O'Day kept herself busy, starring as Amber Von Tussle in the Broadway musical Hairspray, appearing in the 2009 movie American High School, headlining Planet Hollywood Vegas' Peepshow, and posing for magazines such as Blender and Playboy
In 2009, the ex-Danity Kane member released a buzz single, Never Fallin', as she began to pursue her solo music career.
Her reality show, All About Aubrey, was broadcast on the Oxygen network and ran for one season. The show chronicled the struggles of being a pop artist and the recording of her solo album. O'Day's debut solo single, Automatic, was released exclusively via iTunes on April 12, 2011.
After a couple of stand-alone singles, O'Day released her first EP, Between Two Evils, on 13 August 2013. Subsequent to this solo venture, she joined Aundrea Fimbres, Dawn Richard and Shannon Bex to briefly reform Danity Kane during 2014, which lead to the release of DK3, the group's third studio album.
Since the second disbandment of Danity Kane, O'Day has been recording music as one half of pop-dance duo Dumblonde, along with fellow Danity Kane alum, Shannon Bex. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
