Beautiful Creatures
Beautiful Creatures are an American hard rock group formed by guitarist DJ Ashba (Sixx:A.M. / Guns N' Roses ) and Joe Lesté (Bang Tango) in Los Angeles, California in 2000. The group's lineup was rounded out by guitarist Anthony Focx, bassist Kenny Kweens (Shake the Faith, Villains of Vaudeville) and drummer Glen Sobel. Beautiful Creatures toured with Kiss, Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson Linkin Park to name a few. They released debut album Beautiful Creatures in 2001, through Warner Bros..
Founder Ashba eventually left the group to form his own solo project, ASHBA, before going on to form Sixx:A.M. and join Guns N' Roses while drummer Sobel also departed. Guitarist Michael Thomas (Engines of Agression) joined Beautiful Creatures, replacing Ashba, only to depart from Beautiful Creatures to join Ashba's solo band, Ashba, which broke up shortly after Thomas joined.
Eventually the group returned adding guitarist Alex Grossi (Angry Salad, Quiet Riot, Adler's Appetite) and drummer Matt Starr for the recording of the second album, Deuce, however by the time it was released, in 2005, both Grossi and Starr had been replaced by guitarist Mark Simpson (Flotsam and Jetsam) and drummer Timmy Russell.
Although the members are doing other projects. Kweens, Leste and Focx have spoke about continuing and possibly doing a original line up reunion, but no shows or new music are in the works.
