Bifrost Arts
Bifrost Arts is a sacred music non-profit co-founded by Isaac Wardell and Rev. Joseph Emery Pensak in 2008. Bifrost has embarked on an ambitious anthology project to write and record new tunes and arrangements of hymns and other spiritual songs for practical use in the worship of the church. Bifrost's first release, due out in August 2009, will be titled "Come O Spirit!: Anthology of Hymns and Spiritual Songs, Vol. I."
Isaac Wardell and Rev. Pensak both grew up in Memphis, TN and are friends from high school. Mason Neely serves as the record's co-producer, engineer, and arranger along with Isaac Wardell.
Bifrost Arts is not a band, but a growing collective of over 200 musicians who desire to enrich the church and engage the world with beauty and truth. Among the artists who appear on "Come O Spirit" are: The Welcome Wagon, Liz Janes, My Brightest Diamond, Damien Jurado, Rosie Thomas, David Bazan, Laura Gibson, Leigh Nash, J. Tillman, Denison Witmer, Kelley McRae, Sarah Fullen, Kate York, and Trent Dabbs. Read more on Last.fm.
