Bitman & Roban
One of Chile's most exciting musical exports, Bitman & Roban have made their stateside debut with the new album Música Para Después de Almuerzo (Music For After Lunch), released on Nacional Records. The album's mix of electronic, funk, hip-hop, latin and lounge music is complemented by collaborations with Anita Tijoux, Solo Di Medina, Tea Time and Juan Chills.
The group, led by DJ Bitman, has already won heavy airplay and videoplay for the sensational clip "Tatita", the album's first single. Bitman & Roban have had their music utilized in several prominent indie films (Secuestro Express, Yellow) as well as handled remixes for Grammy-nominated Latin Alternative act Babasónicos. Bitman & Roban also have their album track Después de Almuerzo, Pt. 1 included on the forthcoming soundtrack to the Lionsgate film "La Mujer de mi Hermano", which will be released nationally on April 11th.
Bitman & Roban is José Antonio "Toto" Bravo (a.k.a. DJ Bitman - samples, scratches, beats), Christian Powditch (synthesizers), Roberto Titae Lindl (bass) and Adolfo Araus (piano). Música Para Después de Almuerzo is their third release and first U.S. release following "Hurtos" (2000) and "Robar es Natural" (2002). Read more on Last.fm.
