Christopher Boscole
Christopher Boscole is a versatile professional pianist, composer, musician, artist in the new age jazz contemporary instrumental genre. He also explores creative relationships between nature, sailing adventures, photography, and music through multi-media concerts. He has studied and performs traditional classical and jazz styles, and has served a tenure as a piano teacher, concert band director, and church accompanist. He feels that the music he composes has a spiritual basis, channeling from the source of creativity his songs are indeed divine presents of angels. Musically he thinks this music is in many ways a contemporary form of the classical piano of impressionistic folk music of Debussy and Satie. Christopher has released 6 albums, Shimmer: Solo piano (1986) , September Song, Contemporary Instrumental (1987), Land of Music: Contemporary Instrumental (1992) , O Christmas Tree: Solo Piano (1992) , Natural Instincts: Jazz Ensemble (1993), and Presents of Angels: Solo Piano (2008). He is currently finishing work on another new original solo piano recording soon to be released. Christopher is a classically trained pianist (Bachelor of Arts in Music from University of Washington) with also a background in jazz and improvisational styles (Master of Music in Studio Music and Jazz from University of Miami.) Christopher was influenced by many genre of music, with a current focus on Impressionism. He names Keith Jarret, Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, George Winston, David Lanz, Michael Jones, Liz Story, Ralph Towner, Frederic Chopin, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie, J.S. Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven as some of his major musical influences.
