Cordovan
Cordovan is Los Angeles producer/composer/bassist Greg Reeves. Cordovan produces groovy downtempo, future jazz and soul, and reggae/dub, sometimes with vocals (as on the "Tongues" EP which features a different guest singer and a different language on every track) Reeves' dubby, funky bass is usually a very prominent element(he is also a session bassist). Cordovan music appears on many compilations alongside artists like Thievery Corporation, Norah Jones, Tosca, Kaskade, Bombay Dub Orchestra, Brazilian Girls, Dimitri, Miguel Migs, etc. Labels include Sony/BMG, Quango, Tuff Gong, Kinkysweet, Swank, Further Out U.K., Bastard Jazz, Shadow Records, Upstairs Recordings.
