Dancefloor Outlaws
“In 1992, a crack DJ unit was sent to prison by the PRS for samples they ‘didn't steal’. These men promptly escaped from a minimum security day release prison to the Dance music underground. Today, still wanted by the PRS, they survive as DJs of fortune. If you have an empty dancefloor, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The Outlaws”
The Dancefloor Outlaws are a team of DJs based in a secret bunker somewhere near one of the UK’s leading party hot spots... Newquay.
Rumour has it that ‘The South West’s funky hero’ and ‘the founder of Ghetto Funk’ decided (over a late night Rattler & pasty session) to team up and throw their entire arsenal of funk fuelled bass music into one basket. Armed with a huge bag of their own productions, exclusive remixes and a selection of special edits, the Outlaws have developed a unique party style aimed firmly at the dancefloor.
With remixes cropping up over the last 12 months of artists including Tiesto, Diplo & Busta Rhymes, the Dub Pistols, Basement Freaks, Dogtown Clash, 10cc, Warren G & Nate Dogg, they’re definitely on the rise. Currently believed to be working on their debut album (evidence of which is beginning to leak into the festival circuit this summer) it won’t be long before the Dancefloor Outlaws unleash their biggest weapon yet.
“Samplers loaded, turntables primed, these party rocking, crowd pleasing, festival DJs are ready to break hearts and blow up dancefloors from Newquay to New York”.
