Danny Bryant's RedEyeBand
Danny Bryant's RedEyeBand was a British blues band formed by guitarist Danny Bryant with his father, Ken Bryant, on bass guitar. They toured and recorded together with drummer Trevor Barr until Ken's retirement in July 2013. Bryant signed with the German-based label, Jazzhaus Records, in 2011 and went on the record his first live DVD/CD on 17 September 2011, titled Night Life – Live in Holland.[4] 2013 seen Bryant release his first studio album for Jazzhaus Records titled 'Hurricane'. As of 2013 the title 'Redeyeband' was dropped, and the band are now billed as Danny Bryant.
Bryant was born in Hertfordshire England in July 1980, and still resides there today. Ken Bryant on bass and Trevor Barr on drums completed a stellar line up.
First hailed as a ‘young guitar prodigy’, Bryant began playing aged 15, turning professional just three years later. Over the years he paid his dues clocking up endless miles of travelling and approximately two thousand shows in many countries around the world.
In a career that has seen Bryant perform alongside such names as Joe Cocker, Jeff Beck, Greg Allman, Patti Smith, Buddy Guy, Peter Green, and former Rolling Stone Mick Taylor to mention just a few, Bryant and his band steadily carved a huge and loyal fan base around the world.
So far the band have released five internationally acclaimed CDs, their fourth release ‘Days Like This’ featured a stunning duet with special guest blues legend Walter Trout (John Lee Hooker, Canned Heat, John Mayall) The following year saw Bryant signing a deal with premier label Rounder Records, home to many blues legends.
The band’s release ‘Live’, being far their most successful to date, hitting the I-Tunes top ten blues charts in 6 countries, including Italy where it is their labels most successful blues release to date, leading to major festival appearances and sold out club dates in a relentless touring schedule which has this year taken them to ten countries.
A track from ‘Live’ was released on a compilation CD, along with many other great bluesmen, including Johnny Winter, Gary Moore, Albert Collins, George Thorogood and ZZ Top.
