In 1978, she was background vocalist for Sylvie Vartan.
In 1983, in a duet with Guy Bonnardot, she sang La plus grande bêtise de ma vie, a french adaptation of Rod Temperton's hit Baby Come to Me.
After being noticed be French producer François Valéry, she triumphed internationally with the hit song from the movie Joy.
Between 1984-85, François Valéry takes her in as an artist on his label (disques FranceVal) where she records the soundtrack to Un été d'enfer (Mickael Schock) which included songs: J'aime l'amour avec toi (14 weeks in France's hit-parade countdown in '84) and Émotion (11 weeks in the hit parade in Spring '85).
She writes the English lyrics to the song from the moviie Les Nanas (Annick Lanoë) and releases her song Love on the Radio.
In 1986, she starts working with Michel Gouty and records movie soundtracks along with soundtracks to commercials, including:

In 1992, she sings a duet with Jean-Pierre Francois Y a des heures.
She finds herself back in the highly acclaimed French countdown show Hit-Parade in 1995 with the success of her French rendition of Elton John & Tim Rice's Circle of Life for Disney's Lion King (L'Histoire de la vie)
In addition to Le Roi Lion (France's Lion King), Davis also provided the voice for one of the five muses in the French version of Disney's Hercules.
In 1999, she left Europe to return to the US. There she began touring with jazz legend Al Jarreau. She's been traveling the world with him on and off for 8 years...performing at events such as the Montreaux Jazz Festival, Playboy Jazz Festival in Los Angeles etc...
In 2007, she took a yearlong break from touring with Jarreau to perform nightly shows in Cirque Du Soleil's highly acclaimed Zumanity in Las Vegas. Where she was known as Debbie Divine.
