Denny Jiosa
Denny Jiosa is a United States jazz guitarist/composer who has received four Grammy nominations for his recording engineering work.[1] Born in Huntington, Indiana, Jiosa now lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He released his sixth contemporary jazz CD, "Dreams Like This" in 2008, with his earlier albums being "body2body","Among Friends," "Jazzberry Pie," "Moving Pictures" and "Inner Voices."
Industry insiders have recognized Denny Jiosa’s abilities for some time. His five previous CD releases and a string of chart-topping singles have earned Denny a steadfast following. His most popular single, Lights of the City, garnered a SESAC national airplay award. Musical colleagues have long relied upon his abilities. In addition to his work as a producer, he is credited both as guitarist and recording engineer on several Grammy nominated releases.His fifth project,'body2body' was featured on Air Force One in 2002!
The current 2008 release "Dreams Like This" once again finds Denny among friends, in the ranks of world–class musicians, including Chester Thompson (Genesis, Santana, Frank Zappa); Chris Kent (Take 6, Larry Carlton); Glen Caruba (Kirk Whalum, Glen Frey); Pat Coil (Pat Metheny, Michael McDonald), and fellow artists Dan Moretti and Rob McGaha.
Dreams Like This has been in the top 5 Indy radio charts and top 20 at smoothjazz.com for the last 5 weeks as of July 2008!
