1) Dew is a Japanese duo unit composed of Yu Shimizu (Vocals) and Haruna Onishi (Vocals and Piano). They naturally got together to sing while they spent their high school days (3 years) in Canada. Their official profile mentioned that "The morning dew is a water with highest purity, and it can even save the life of the person who is lost in an accident to survive. Over ages, human being had lived with water. Dew named the song wishing that their music would be clear as the morning dew, and that it would reach to people's heart beyond ages."
Their first piano album "croquis" was released from an indies label in 2006. In 2007, their single "Present" was selected as the Commercial song for MAX FACTOR's "Dual Effect Foundation" with the appearance of Haruka Ayase, and it aroused considerable interest. In July 2008, they released a mini album "Illustrated Flower Book ~Hanazukan" which is composed of songs with the theme of only "flowers". This album became their major debut album. Also, they released a cover album "Illustrated Flower Book extra edition ~Hanazukan Bessatsu" in October 2008.
Their debut major album "PRESENT" was released on 2009-05-13.

2) dew - that's Nicole, a female singer/songwriter living in Basel, Switzerland.
Nicole started her musical career fairly late. It wasn't long before she had her first concert, in February 2000. And one year and a lot of concerts later, she even performed in a few Pubs in Glastonbury, Great Britan.
Now, after several years of numerous live stints in Switzerland and the U.K. and two non-official LP releases, Nicole has gained her own fan-base and is planning her first official album.
Dew's characteristics are a very strong and melancholic female voice, one acoustic guitar and of course the convincing, touching lyrics.
Nicole's repertoire comprises about 60 songs (in English), written and composed by her.
For the last few years, Nicole has been constantly on the road playing at anything ranging from the smallest venue to large festivals - either solo or with complete band (electric guitar, bass and drums).
