Dougie Poynter
Dougie Lee Poynter (born 30 November, 1987) is the bassist of the British pop rock band McFly.
His musical career started in a punk band called Ataiz. In late summer 2003, Universal advertised in NME, looking for both, a drummer and a bassist, for a new pop-punk act. Dougie successfully applied and became the bass player in McFly along with Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Harry Judd.
Dougie mostly sings backing vocals but since McFly's second album, he has also contributed to the song writing - including his own songs "Silence is a Scary Sound" (which was performed on their 2005 Wonderland Tour) and "Transylvania".
