Edyta Geppert
Edyta Geppert (b. 1953) is a Polish singer.
Geppert was born on the 27th November 1953 in Nowa Ruda, to a musical family. her mother is Hungarian, and Geppert became familiar with the Hungarian czardas. She was educated in the Song Faculty of the F. Chopin National Music High School in Warsaw, though she had already performed in the song and dance group Nowa Ruda.
Geppert's came to public notice in 1984, when she won the first prize in the seventh Actor Song Review in Wrocław, and the Grand Prix of the XXI National Polish Song Festival in Opole. She repeated the successes in Opole again in 1986 and 1995. She is the only Polish singer to receive the Grand Prix three times (in 1984, for "Jaka róza, taki cierń", in 1986, for "Och, zycie kocham cię nad zycie", and in 1995 for "Idź swoją drogą").
