El Tattoo del Tigre
El Tattoo Del Tigre was a mambo big band formed in Antwerp, Belgium in 1999. Their music is an impressive interaction of percussion, bass, piano, saxophones, trombones, trumpets, flute, vocals, dancers and MCs.
The orchestra's frequent live performances were explosive acts, with no less than 20 people on stage, boosted by MCs Adriaan Van den Hoof, actor and one of Discobar Galaxie's DJs, and Peter Van den Begin, actor. Among the vocalists were Esmé Bos (Tres Tigres Tristes), actress Tine Embrechts, her brother Pieter Embrechts, and Tine Reymer (actress and lead vocalist of Billie King). Other members of the orchestra included percussionist Kobe Proesmans, guitarist Bart Voet (Tres Tigres Tristes), and Stoffel Verlackt (Metal Molly, Sukilove) at the drums.
El Tattoo del Tigre recorded three albums: El Tattoo Del Tigre, 2001; SenSAcional, 2003; and Chico Max, 2005. Their last concerts were in 2009 at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels and Roma in Antwerp.
