Elcho
London duo Elcho are currently carving a career of critically acclaimed tracks. They are Steve Isles and Jamie Cullum (no, a DIFFERENT Jamie Cullum) Forming Elcho in 2004 the duo set out to build epic songs from simple structures. Having previously composed music for film and television, Steve's talent for writing has been brought to fruition through Jamie's skill in seamless production. Jamie's former portfolio includes producing Mercury Music Prize and Brit nominated Tom McRae and double platinum selling Music In Mouth, from Bell X 1. Teaming up as Elcho the focus is now on crafting sublimity in their songs before finding the perfect voices to collaborate with. Previous guest singers have included Esther Alexander, Amy Bullman, Super Furry Animals singer Rachel Thomas. Already Elcho have featured on two Cafe Del Mar albums and have achieved chart success writing for Kirsty Hawkshaw (Opus III, DJ Tiesto) when Reach For Me became a massive club hit and secured third position in the Music Week Dance Chart. Space Between, the track featured on Gary Crowley's London Calling, has been hailed as "Probably the best chill out record of 2005" by Eddie Gordon (DJ In The Mix) and Judge Jules says its got "class written all over it" (Judge Jules BBC Radio 1).
