Ernesto Jodos
Ernesto Jodos is a Argentinian jazz pianist located in Buenos Aires. He has given concerts and made recordings in Uruguay, Chile and Colombia, also performing in many European cities. Jodos has appeared in more than forty recordings, eleven of them as a leader or co-leader, collaborating with artists Barry Altschul, Chris Cheek, John Hebert, Michael Brecker, Bily Harper, Ingrid Jensen, and a number of others.
Jodos has recieved many prizes and awards: Jazz revelation 2002 (Clarín Newspaper), Jazz figure of the year 2004 (Clarín Newspaper), Best Jazz soloist of the decade 1995-2005 (Konex Fundation), Carlos Gardel Prize (Best Jazz álbum of the year) 2008 and 2009. He is also the creator and current Director of the Jazz Program at the “Conservatorio superior de música Manuel de Falla”, the most important public music school in Buenos Aires.
