Evan Olson
Evan is a singer-producer based in North Carolina. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Evan played every note on his five solo albums, including AUDIO.
Born in West Point, New York, Evan's family soon moved to North Carolina where he spent his youth playing drums in the high school marching band, and playing guitar in a few talent shows. At college in Greensboro, Evan got serious about writing original songs and ended up writing and singing with Ben Folds in a band called Majosha. Majosha released an album, "Shut Up And Listen To Majosha", and began playing many live shows.
After Majosha disbanded, Evan formed a new band with Majosha Drummer Eddie Walker, Britt Uzzell (aka Snuzz) and Ben Folds' younger brother, Chuck (see Chuck Folds Five and Big Bang Boom). The band was called BUS STOP. Evan's new band played everywhere they could from Boston to Clear Water, FL. Their music was heard in the TV shows "Melrose Place," "Baywatch," and "Homicide". After four self-produced CDs (with two albums licensed and released in Japan) and over 1,000 live shows with Bus Stop, Evan left that band to begin his solo career.
Since 1999 Evan has recorded five solo CDs:
OLSON (1999 LoveCat),
ONE ROOM (2000 UNIVERSAL),
RED (2002)
CLUB EVOS (2004)
Audio (2006)
Take The World (2007)
