Fiona Kennedy
Fiona Kennedy is the daughter of Scottish and Gaelic singers Calum Kennedy and Anne Gillies.
Fiona followed her parents into show business and became a successful singer which developed to radio broadcasting and then TV and theatre appearances.
The first television appearance by Fiona was in the 1971 TV mini series The Witch's Daughter. She played the character Perdita. Her first film appearance was in the 1973 film The Wicker Man where she played Holly. The same year she acted as Mary Campbell in the episode The Runaway in the series Sutherland's Law. Three years later she played Leslie in Mauro the Gypsy. She has appeared on Songs of Praises as a singer.
Fiona Kennedy now presents Tartan TV episodes about Scotland, Scottish life and history which are broadcast on American and Canadian Satellite television channels. She has also appeared on many UK television programmes including the children's programme Record Breakers on BBC1 for seasons 12 to 15 and the New Year Show with Trevor MacDonald. Fiona Kennedy also presented Behind the Scenes at Monarch of the Glen.
