Fitalic
Born and raised in The Hague at the West coast of the Netherlands, Robin became interested in music at the age of 12, when he started playing with electronic instruments. Several years later, at the age of 18, he heard house music on the local radio station in The Hague and fell in love with it. One late night in The Hague, Robin heard the talented DJ Remy. Remy fueled his interest, and he soon started to buy records and learn mixing techniques. In a short time he had gigs at local school parties.
Although getting an excellent feel for the music, Robin still felt empty. After watching a live performance of the Pako and Frederik duo, Robin decided that he wanted to perform his own music on stage. Around 1998, he bought his first set of musical gear and began to produce his own music.
Two years later, he released his debut as Fitalic. The Hague could now add another producer name to their list, among the likes of Sander Kleinenberg, DJ Remy, Pako & Frederik, and Roland Klinkenberg. Influenced by these and other great artists, Robin now has eighteen 12" releases, including releases on Bedrock (UK) and Vapour (AU). His tracks have been played by the likes of John Digweed, Kasey Taylor and Chris Fortie.
In the summer of 2002, Robin Fitter began to perform both as a DJ and with his close friend Jeroen Wunderlich as a live performance. Following the major name and success of his tracks, Fitalic could be seen on parties across the globe.
Currently finishing the work on his debut album that is coming out on Tribal Vision Records in September 2006, as well as various remix-productions, Fitalic has become a much recognized and respected name in the biz.
