Foggy Dew
It's December 2005 when singer/guitarist Dennis Jansen places an advertisement on the internet, trying to get an Irish folk band together. guitarist and bouzouki player Dirk Pons, and squeezebox player Jan Liket, who at the time were called Derrick & Johnny, replied to Jansen's advertisement and the result was folk trio Cloggy Dew.
In March 2006 tin-whistle player Kenne Peters joins the band. When Jan Liket leaves for South-Africa in the summer of 2007, Lotte Vermeulen comes to the rescue with her violin. Lotte stays with the band after Liket's return, becoming the fifth band member.
Cloggy Dew plays traditional Irish ballads, drinking songs and tunes. Also the band has written some songs and tunes of their own. Occasionally some more contemporary folk music can be heard at Cloggy Dew gigs. The band's a young and energetic folk band. Great craic garantueed!
