Gary Chang
Gary Chang was born on February 22nd, 1953 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He went to high school in Pittsburgh, attended college at Carnegie-Mellon University and studied electronic music at CalArts. During this time he appeared in several bands performing, doing arranging etc.
Gary has been a studio musician for Robbie Robertson, Al Jarreau, Weather Report, Herbie Hancock and film music composers Patrick Williams and Giorgio Moroder. Gary has also worked with artists like Tom Jones, Eddie Money and Barbra Streisand mainly as a synthesizer programmer. Despite his extensive background in electronic music, most fans still know him from his many movie scores, including The Island of Dr. Moreau, Under Siege and A Shock to the System..
