Gayle Adams
Born in Washington D.C. Gayle Adams was a stand up comedienne and a
race car driver before becoming a disco diva whom is best known for her hit singles "Love Fever", "Stretchin' Out" and "Your Love Is A Lifesaver." She made two albums for the dance-oriented Prelude label in the early eighties which were written and produced for her by Washington DC producers Willie Lester and guitarist Rodney Brown. Both Lester and Brown left the ailing Prelude label in 1983 and formed their own label in late 1983. Mainline Records was Gayle's next home and the trio's collaboration produced one final hit with the club favorite "I'm Warning You.
