Gladiátor
Gladiátor is the slovak alternative/pop rock band originally from Nitra (from near village Alekšince).
The active start of the band is dating since the revolution year 1989 when only 17 years old Miko Hladký, his older brothers Dušan(21) and Maroš(25) and their friend Georgio Babulic(15) formed the band - GLADIÁTOR. The bigest paradox is that in the early times they were named by fans "the slovak Sepultura" because of their hard thrash metal style of music they played (debut album Designation - 1992 and album Made of Pain - 1993), but now they are one of the most succesful slovak pop rock band with lyrics based on romantic love, life etc. Gladiátor is the first slovak band whose videoclip was played on MTV (Profitable losses from album Designation in 1992).
