Grabaż
Grabaż, Krzysztof Grabowski, is a songwriter and a singer, most famous for being frontman of Pidżama Porno and Strachy Na Lachy. He was also the vocalist of some less known acts such as: Ręce Do Góry, Papierosy and Lavina Cox.
Grabaż is one of the most acclaimed author of lyrics in Poland. He draws heavily on literature, in particular the futurist movement. Grabowski set to music and performed with his bands poems of such authors as Dylan Thomas, Władysław Broniewski, Rafał Wojaczek and Vladimir Mayakovsky. In his lyrics, Grabaż employs metaphors, poetic images, and puns. Moreover, Grabaż's lyrics are full of references to culture and history. They allude inter alia to "Un Chien Andalou", "Stroszek", Pedro Almodovar, and Franz Kafka. As a composer, he is inspired by such bands as The Clash, Ramones, Fugazi, and Mano Negra.
