Hillsong Young & Free
Laura Toggs and the Hillsong team noticed there was a new generation rising that was not afraid to stand for the issues they believed in, and this was a generation that was free. Hillsong United (the original youth band) through the years had been blasted into the atmosphere of popularity, and it was time for a new sound.
During the 2013 Hillsong Conference, Hillsong United posted a video of Hillsong Young and Free performing, and the following day, their debut song "Alive" was avaliable to listen to online. Since then, Hillsong Young and Free released their debut album entitled "We Are Young And Free" which was recorded at Hillsong's annual summercamp. The band is known for their high energy and very unique sound for worship music. With a combination of electrical sounds, mainstream pop sounds, and Jesus, this band's music is playing globally in many youth groups. Popular songs off the album include: Alive, Wake, Lifeline, End of Days, and Sinking Deep.
In 2013, Hillsong Young and Free began touring with Hillsong United in the United States, and is currently playing shows throughout the world.
