Husking Bee
HUSKING BEE is a Japanese rock band formed in July 1994.
Their sound, which contains emotionally-charged vocals, is complemented by impressive musicianship. The rhythm section thrives in this band, as it is able to create an atmosphere with its own frantic, punchy playfulness.
The original members were Masafumi Isobe (guitar, vocals), Kudo 'Tekkin' Tetsuya (bass) and Hiramoto Leona (drums). Hirabayashi Kazuya (guitar, vocals) joined the band in 2000.
The band officially disbanded on March 6, 2005. They reunited in February 2012 with most of the old lineup and a new drummer, Yamazaki Masayuki. Shortly after the reunion, Kishino Hajime replaced Kudo on bass.
The official website of the band is www.husking-bee.com (in Japanese).
According to the the band's Japanese Wikipedia page, the intended meaning of its name is "corn-peeling association" (トウモロコシの皮むき会), referring to the traditional social gatherings for peeling corn that were common around harvest time in the 19th century United States.
