Ikerya Project
Erik Iker, born in November 1988. in Belgrade, Serbia. First time he came into contact with music was as only a boy, when his dad played his record collection. Later in the 90s he gets in touch with electronic music, listening to Faithless, Scooter, Prodigy and others. His music breakthrough happens in 2002. when he goes underground, meeting psytrance and trance for the first time.
“Ikerya Project” is the second project of Erik Iker’s, a DJ, producer and remixer living in Serbia. Genre at stake is mostly Uplifting trance. While younger, Erik was into trance in general, leading with Psy trance towards Uplifting.
His love of Uplifting trance came to life back in 2005. once he obtained a “Armin Only” DVD. He started producing trance shortly afterwards. With Psy trance a bit out of the picture at that point, Uplifting production is started. After approximately a five year production period he decides to contact numerous trance labels by sending out his demos which lead him to signing his first EP in 2011. Erik published multiple tracks and remixes for many labels from that period onwards. Some of labels which published Erik’s material are Abora Records, Armada Music, Silent Shore, Trance All Star Rec, etc.
At this instance Erik’s production gained support from multiple well known trance DJs, some of which are Aly& Fila, Sean Tyas, Manuel le Saux, John O’Callaghan and others. This lead towards a massive expansion of his work since many of his tracks are played in trance clubs and radio shows around the world.
In 2012. Erik signs a contract with Abora Records which is considered as his main label, publishing a vast amount of his tracks and remixes.
An “Ikerya Project” debut album published by Abora Records as well is expected in 2014.
This year is a great one for Erik since he signed a contract with “Jungle Events Agency” in Serbia. This successful cooperation allows him to play his material in most major trance events in Serbia, Balkans and beyond as in Serbia Wonderland, a major trance festival in Belgrade and yet to come and greatly expected, “Eurofest” in Mexico City.
