Infamous
There are at least two artists called Infamous:
1) Born 1979 in rush green hospital "Christopher Jack Bailey" to parents Joanne and Christopher Bailey. later had his name changed via adoption to Nunn and recently returned to Bailey again in early 2007.
Grew up in essex where he has spent the majority of his life, listening to some of the most eclectic styles of music, his step father a huge rock fan, his mother more into the electronic stuff, wasnt unusual to hear jarre and slayer one after the other in that household and from that came chris's love for music, listening to acid house and other "underground" styles through a pair of headphones 3 times the size of his head into the early hours of the morning absorbing everything he heard.
Come the rave era he had already begun to pick his style, being chastised during music class at school for not paying attention and being far too busy experimenting that doing what he was asked too do, including a famous moment where he discovered you could record your voice and make interesting tunes with a certain F word that got him suspended for 2 weeks, but it was the right path for him.
College came and went, qualifications in normal things were garnered and he tried to get on with life working for a while for a window company doing their books and the being a phone operator, it was during this period that he met dan franklin (dj lethal) who was just coming out of school and during a chance conversation both discovered they liked to dabble with a program on the amiga.. octamed.
Their 1st colaboration was a tune to both artists that is held with some fondness due to it being so crap it's good, they played it too their friends and family and got rave reviews (like always eh) and this spurred them to write more and as they did so they learnt more and more about the program, eventually though things moved on and Dan moved away and they lost contact, but both carried on writing moving from old amiga's to pc's and e-jay .. everyone has to start somewere.
It was from the annoying way that e-jay did everything in huge chunks that infamous decided he needed to look for something more like octamed and discovered madtracker and modtracker in these programs he would write his 1st 2 remixes for kwed.org .. creatures 2 and feud, spurred on by a rather damning review by one of the regulars at kwed of his creatures 2 remix infamous decided to work a bit harder put more effort in, taking note of the issues people had with his 1st tune and followed was his 1st "success" cauldron 2 the claustrophobic edit a dark brooding drum lead affair and very much in the style that he had always chosen to go, a few experiments later (poor versions of myth and the hawkeye hi score theme) he soon found his feet becoming one of the only Breakbeat artists to put stuff up on kwed at that time making him unique in style and certainly living up to his tag "infamous".
cutting to a jump and a quick cameo appearance on the ep 2spin which had moderate success to this year, he has been working hard on an EP - funky breaks which reached #10 in the breakbeat/elektro charts along with jayl funk and a forthcoming 3rd release and things are definitely looking up for this bright young lad.
