Jordy Lishious
BIOGRAPHY JORDY LISHIOUS
Producer / DJ / Remixer
Jordy Lishious (real name Jordy van Oostveen) first got into the scene working at Freaky Records in Eindhoven. He then started DJing in some local clubs, and subsequently scored a residency in one of Holland’s biggest clubs, The Matrixx in Nijmegen. Jordy describes his music as “Dope & Dirty”, but a quick listen to his sets will tell you that he plays right across the board, from house to tech-house and through to minimal-influenced material.
In May 2006 his debut production “Raw / Slick!” was snapped up by the Big and Dirty Label, peaking at number 3 in the official Dance Chart in Holland and was licensed to global superbrand Ministry Of Sound. The follow-up “Ooh La Lishious” under the guise of JayMen, reached number 18 in the official Dutch Top 40. The record was licensed to more than 12 labels around the globe.
The quality of Jordy’s productions have taken his career to the next level. Top labels are now taking notice. He has signed his music to Funkagenda's Funk Farm Records, Prok & Fitch's Floorplay Music, Fedde le Grand’s Blackbird Recordings, Hardwell's Revealed Recordings, Black Hole Recordings, Ministry of Sound and more. He also was asked to produce the official Anthem of "LakeDance Festival", which is being held at the infamous Aquabest area, in the Southern part of Holland. Jordy has also remixed Fedde le Grand, Alex Font, Prok & Fitch, Stretch & Vern, Whelan & Di Scala, Lasgo, Don Diablo, Roog, Mitch Crown, Moguai, Erick E, Olav Basoski and more. These tracks have enjoyed widespread support by Tiesto, Fedde le Grand, Funkagenda, Sander Kleinenberg, Funkerman and Axwell.
As a DJ, Jordy has played the length and breadth of the Netherlands, headlining all the top clubs and consistently rocking sell out clubs with his unique brand of Dope & Dirty music. His interaction with the audience and technical skills on the decks has also led to headline bookings at major festivals like DanceValley, HouseQuake, LakeDance and hot international gigs.
Jordy’s own unique “Dope & Dirty” concept is now entering another level. His fresh new Dope & Dirty Blogsite is the centerpiece of all his activities and interests (www.dope-dirty.com). He is also throwing Dope & Dirty parties and with hosting his own "Dope & Dirty" stage at LakeDance this year (one of Southern Holland's biggest festivals) he truly is putting his mark on his vision of house-music. Also he drops his "Dope & Dirty" Podcast every 2 months on his SoundCloud page, which perfectly represents his view on the dance-industry. Read more on Last.fm.
