Julia
There are three (and quite possibly more) acts by the name Julia,
1) Julia was an american emo/hardcore band, active in the mid 1990's.
Their style resembled the frantic sound of eastcoast (more specifically DC) emo, complete with octave chords and dark, yet melodic, basslines, thundering and slow drumming and intensly emotional vocals. On many occasions it sounded like Mathew was about to break down. Some members were playing on Lumber.
Members:
Mathew Yeager (Vocals)
Jeremy Miller (Guitar)
Chad Haley (Bass)
Noah Wilson (Drums)
Steve Miller (Guitar) (also in Unbroken, left the band in 1994. He appeared on the first two records, the first comp song and on the B side of Kathy)
2) A band from Austria
Working consistently on their music since the band formed in 2000, Julia have over 331 shows under their belt in over 10 different countries, 2 EP´s and three full length albums on release, not to mention the very dedicated fan base. Upon the arrival of their debut album „Songs About Decay“ Julia signed to monkey.music and were quickly snatched up by management Rodeostar in Hamburg to begin a 30 city/festival tour across Europe with 4lyn.
When their second single „Beautiful“ was released it was chosen as the anthem for the 2005 Ice Hockey World Championship. Julia performed at the opening ceremony in Vienna City Hall in front of thousands of spectators. This event was also shown live on TV throughout 160 countries.
3) Julia van Bergen
