Two young men from ormskirk Lancashire one august decided to form a band together with guitaring/instruments/technical gizmos delete as appropriate of chris gornell and the lyrics and vocal deepness of chad stubbs now and again joined by the madness/lyrics delete as appropriate of barry neill and the strange background twinklings of michael "blenni" belenski. the first e.p. entitled "four twats in a bedroom with borrowed stuff" contained an eight song album high lighting the ups and downs of being from ormskirk an instant laugh a minute hit with their social circle for most of the tracks were of people they know the e.p. was later scrapped and the song produced onto their first album by kjellkirk productions the album "product of late nite radio" inspired by the old mary-ann hobbs show on radio1 back in early '98 they were to send it in to mary before the show expired but never got round to doing it. the album a heavy mix of inspirational crosses between arab strap to beastie boys to rialto. a short break commenced and the band formed a name "kjellkirk command" chosen from a news paper article, a saxon church and a word from the bible. to long and strange it was cut down to kjell and recording began on the next album "WsH" a longer album missing the talents of barry neill and blenni but two songs with their lyrics, a much better album containing most of the best kjell songs written/recorded/presented delete as appropriate and another favourite hit with their friends. a few weeks after "WsH" the "acoustic sessions" e.p. was recorded in just two days less than that in eight hours to be more to the point and in this space of time the idea of a video and a live album was created and mass distribution of the acoustic album to all the old music zine contacts of gornell plus a huge host of tiny flyers were produced and posted around ormskirk and pinned around various places. within the same month of october the live album was recorded on a night on the piss entitled "drunk + dissorientated" contained songs from the first two albums and a few more unreleased ones a poster was accompanied with the first three copies and the rest had a shrunken version of it the night was also videoed and to be part of the kjell video at the time toggling with two names "aday in the life of"/"selected days of our lives" the latter was chosen and odd footage began appearing and being used. then in late november "M.c.Escher" was recorded inspired by the artists name and art but the album lacked the imaginative creativity and spark born in the first two new inspirations were taking over a clash of ideas and hurried work rendered this album deppresing and not what they wanted at all but a slight cry to what they once were and want to be again on the other side of the coin a grown up album an album coming of age. one thing all kjell albums have in common is a song entitled "saturday morning 4:19" but also on top of that 6ix more songs about the morning of 4:19 were written and recorded and produced on an e.p. entitled the "morning 4:19 e.p.". 4our more songs were recorded before a christmas break but were soon th13teen more songs were recorded and produced onto the last album designed by gornell called "" and this became one of the most darkest kjell albums to date and the band slipped into depression and madness. the band were now on the brink of madness recording conversations/trips/games delete as appropriate before recording the final e.p. "everyone likes fondue" rushed maddness/read passages/noises/covers of songs all joined together with a ghostbusters cassette and feedback. the band split up chad went into post-production on the video and chris focused on his school work.
