Klaus Lenz
Klaus Lenz ( Born March 22, 1940 in Berlin) is a German jazz musician (Modern Jazz), bandleader and composer. He lived until 1977 in the GDR and is regarded as a nestor of DDR-jazz scene. Many famous artists, like Manfred Krug, Günther Fischer, Reinhard Lakomy, Henning Protzmann, Günter Baby Sommer and Ulrich Gumpert, learned from his musical craft and played with him on many successful albums. Klaus Lenz played with ever-changing casts, a testament to his constant search for new forms of musical expression. With each formation, reaching a high standard.
