LOSALIOS
Losalios is an instrumental band from Japan which plays a mix somewhere between Jazz, Rock, Punk and Avant-garde which could be considered Math rock.
Losalios was started by Tatsuya Nakamura, drummer for Blankey Jet City, as a solo project called "Love Shop Losalios" in 1996. His first work was "GABIRU", recorded in a room of an abandoned hotel. While Nakamura created all sounds for these recordings himself, he was joined in 1999 by other musicians such as 浅井健一 (Asai Ken’ichi, ex BJC), Toshiyuki Terui (ex BJC), Ken Morioka and members of 東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ for the first release under the name Losalios called "Sekaichizu-wa-chinoato".
Apart from founder Nakamura the lineup is constantly changing from record to record, though it usually includes TOKIE on bass, Takashi Kato (from 東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ) on guitar, and Shinji Takeda on saxophone.
