1) Lacrymosa is a Japanese progressive rock band that combines avant-garde, Rock in opposition and and chamber music into a unique musical style. They have been compared to Univers Zero, Art Zoyd, and Zypressen. Lacrymosa released two albums: "Bugbear" (1984) and "Joy of the Wrecked Ship" (1994).
2) Lacrymosa is the stage moniker for Caitlin Pasko, currently signed to Family Records. Her first album, "I Was Once (Oh)", was released on January 23rd, 2009. It can be purchased on iTunes, eMusic and other online distributors. A physical copy can be purchased from the Family Records website. Lacrymosa's music is a blend of Regina Spektor and Joanna Newsom. Magical, piano based arrangements which feature the whimsical soprano of Ms. Pasko guide us through various tales.
