Laura Escudé
Laura Escudé is a critically acclaimed music technologist, violinist, composer, sound designer and educator. In 2009 she worked with Cirque du Soleil on their production Viva Elvis as an Ableton programmer, toured Europe with acclaimed world music band Niyaz, was a tour consultant for Kanye West and recorded violin on EastWest’s Quantum Leap Silk sound library.
As an artist, 2010 saw Laura release her first full-length album Pororoca, a beautiful marriage of cinematic strings and edgy electronics. The album has received favorable reviews for it’s innovative, cinematic sound. Escudé performs regularly around Los Angeles at events such as Create:Fixate, does session work and sound design for commercials and film and has performed and recorded for composers such as Carmen Rizzo and Eric Whitacre and artists such as Sage Francis and PlatEAU.
