Leszek Możdżer
Leszek Możdżer (b. March 23, 1971, Gdańsk, Poland) is a leading Polish jazz pianist. He has worked with such artists as David Gilmour, Lester Bowie, and Jan A.P. Kaczmarek. He has been a member of other music groups, including Miłość and the Zbigniew Namysłowski Quartet and has recorded film soundtracks with the composer Zbigniew Preisner.
In the poll organized among Jazz Forum readers Możdżer was chosen as the Most Promising Musician of the year 1993 and 1994, and the Best Jazz Pianist – in each consecutive year since 1994. He was also awarded as the Musician of the Year 1995, 1996 and 2011.
