Markku Lepistö
Playing Ostrobothnian folk music on accordion since age five, Markku Lepistö later entered and graduated at the Sibelius Academy Folk Music Department before finally joining Värttinä in 1998 just after the Vihma recordings. When he isn't gigging with Värttinä he finds time for his solo career, duo concerts with Pekka Lehti and concerts with the klezmer group Doina Klezmer.
Lepistö has released a duo album with Petri Hakala in 2001, his first solo album Silta in 2002 and second solo album Polku in 2006.
